Is peace between Jewish and Muslim people possible? What does it take to build it?
The documentary “Amen-Amen-Amen: A Story for Our Times” takes place in a Muslim nation, the United Arab Emirates, that considers religious pluralism an important public policy. The film tells the story of the first new Jewish community in the Arab world in centuries – as it follows the journey of a specially made Torah Scroll, created in Israel, and dedicated to the late Sheikh Zayed, the Founding Father of the UAE. The Torah Scroll travels to Abu Dhabi to be presented to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. Experts believe this to be the first such dedication in the history of the world. The film also spotlights the remarkable Jewish Community, formed in private, that became a bridge between different worlds.
