A Sukkot tutorial

The Jewish month of Tishrei on the surface seems quite challenging to the casual observer with its unrelenting parade of holidays and special occasions. But a closer inspection reveals a brilliant strategy implicit in the order of events that begin with Rosh HaShana and concludes with Simchat Torah. We needed the last 10 days to wake us up and build to the spiritual high of Yom Kippur. And to prevent a letdown, or worse, a squandering of the great work we have done, we have the joyous but holy rituals and celebration of Sukkot.

Similarly, from a community standpoint, it is such a lift to be together in force on the high holidays and these next holidays are a perfect opportunity to stay together first in the Sukkah and finally for Simchat Torah. Please consider making the time for the next half of this wonderful season!

This weekend the parsha is Haazinu, a poem authored by Moses exhorting the Jewish nation to stay firm in the covenant.

TriBeCa Synagogue expresses a collective thank you to all who worked hard to make this high holiday season one of our most memorable. We are also obliged to all who attended and contributed to the incredible energy throughout.

Please reserve ASAP for Sukkah dinners and Lulav and Etrog.

For the second night of Sukkot we are partnering with the following organization:

JFE (Jews For Entrepreneurship organization) is the leading and only organization that supports Jewish innovation and entrepreneurship worldwide. Since our launch in 2009, we have hosted over 120 events, including pitch events, seminars, speaker panels, startup accelerators, pitches for series A companies, career fairs, and networking mixers. JFE is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. https://www.jfenetwork.com/
