This week we see one of the greatest acts of self sacrifice in the Torah. Clearly Rachel was aware of her father's trickery but allowed it to happen because she feared the humiliation of her sister.  But it goes further in that she had no guarantee that Jacob would marry her especially considering they were sisters. Thus we see someone willing to sacrifice her entire future spiritual legacy to preserve human dignity. That is the definition of our matriarch!

The remaining shiva schedule for Rabbi Glass will now be at his residence starting tomorrow until noon. Saturday evening 6-10pm, Sunday and Monday until 9pm.

Services will be held at his residence at 210 East Broadway #H305 Friday, Sunday and Monday mornings at 8am and Sunday and Monday evenings at 4:15pm. He will get up at the synagogue following Tuesday morning 7:20am services.

He and his family are deeply grateful to the entire community for their support at his difficult time.

Please reserve soon!
