
In Metzora we present the antidote for the skin afflictions that we introduced last week. The rituals seem random but the sages derive powerful messages in each of the items. Primarily they are directed at arrogance, which is the accepted root cause of these problems.
This weekend is known as Shabbat HaGadol, the big Sabbath, for a number of reasons, but it represents the final stretch on the calendar for our preparations for Passover. At the synagogue we are doing this on zoom along with the Women's Study Group following kiddush on Saturday.
