This week our parsha is Vayeshev and has a major focus on dreams. Whether it was the dream that Joseph had about his family or the dreams that the butler and the baker had at the end, they seem to play an oversized role in determining the course of events that would shape our history for centuries.

Depending on the circumstances and the individual involved, a dream could have been a small sliver of prophecy and be significant. In today's world, however, dreams are more important from a psychological standpoint, prophecy was unfortunately removed from the world stage at the beginning of the second temple era.

This Shabbat we bless the new month of Tevet and the molad is next Saturday, December 4th, at 1:39pm with 14 Chalakim.

We are pleased to join with JCP for a Chanukah candle lighting on our plaza on Thursday December 2, at 6:30pm. If you would like to join us please register at

A full Chanukah bulletin will be issued Friday morning.
