Joshua   7pm

We are introduced to Abram in last week’s portion but he becomes the central figure this week in Lech Lecha. The truth is, however, as the midrash describes, there was a long history of his devotion to God before he is contacted directly here. Whether it was challenging his father or confronting the king Nimrod, he was extraordinarily bold in maintaining his belief in one God. So rather than this communication being the cause of his belief, it was the result of his belief, albeit decades in the making.

Congratulations to Deborah and Carlos Gutierrez for a beautiful bris this past Monday!

Next Saturday: TS @ TS! (Tot Shabbat at TriBeCa Synagogue) Stay tuned for details.

Returning soon: Zoom Intermediate Class in Hebrew Reading: Silent devotion
